Terms of service

Your account

You need a working email address to sign up. Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. One person or business per account.

Fair use

Do not use Sporetag for anything illegal or harmful. In particular, do not make short links to:

• malware, phishing or scams;
• spam, or pages that hide where they lead;
• other link shorteners, to chain redirects;
• content that is illegal where you or your visitors are.

We check links with Google Safe Browsing and other checks, and recheck them over time. We may turn off a link or an account that breaks these rules, with or without notice when people are at risk.

Your sites and your visitors

Only add sites you own or have the right to measure. You are responsible for telling your visitors about Sporetag in your own privacy policy. If you turn on Attribution mode, or send personal data with the Events API or to Meta, you are responsible for any consent the law requires.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. If you go over your plan's monthly allowance, we tell you the first month. From the second month in a row, extra use is billed in blocks as shown on the pricing page.

Refunds: 30-day money back

If Sporetag is not right for you, ask within 30 days of your first payment and we refund that payment in full. No questions asked. Write to hello@sporetag.com from your account email, or reply to any email from us.

The promise covers the first payment on an account, monthly or yearly. Later renewals are not refunded, but you can cancel any time so the next one never comes. When we refund, we also end the plan and your account moves to the Free plan. Stripe returns the money to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 days.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time in Billing. Your plan stays on until the end of the time you paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. We do not charge cancellation fees.

Your data

Your stats and links are yours. You can export them as CSV. We only use them to run Sporetag for you.

The service

We work hard to keep Sporetag fast and available, but we cannot promise it will never go down or never lose an event. Sporetag is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Using Sporetag after that means you accept the new terms.
