Track where every click comes from.
Paste a link and pick where you will share it. You get a link that tells your stats where each visit came from.
This is a UTM builder. UTM tags are the labels at the end of a link that do the tracking.
Questions, answered.
What is a UTM tag?
A UTM tag is a label added to the end of a link, like ?utm_source=instagram. Analytics tools read it to tell you where each visit came from. The visitor sees the same page.
Should I share the short link or the full link?
Use a short link for SMS, bios, stories, DMs, email and QR codes. It is short, it counts clicks, and you can change where it goes later. In ads, paste the full link or the ad tool template, so the ad opens your page with no extra redirect.
How do I track each Meta ad?
Pick Meta ads, then copy the template. In Ads Manager, put your page address in Website URL and paste the template in URL parameters. Meta fills in the campaign, ad set and ad names for each click.
My email or SMS tool adds its own tags. Which one wins?
On a Sporetag short link, Sporetag tags win, because the short link ignores anything added to it. On a full link it depends on the tool. Turn its tags off, or use the same names.
Do you see what I type here?
No. This page builds the link in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Sporetag or anyone else.
See which links bring sales.
Sporetag counts the click, the visit and the sale, for every link you share.
