Blended ROAS
Also called blended return on ad spend.
Total revenue from your store divided by total ad spend on every platform, for the same period.
Blended ROAS = total revenue ÷ total ad spend, both for the same period, with revenue taken from your store or payment system rather than from the ad platforms. Example: $60,000 of orders in a month and $15,000 spent across Meta, Google and TikTok is a blended ROAS of 4.
Each platform's own ROAS credits every sale its ads touched, so adding them up counts some sales two or three times. Blended ROAS counts each sale once, which makes it the honest number for "are the ads paying overall?". It cannot say which platform earned it; use each platform's ROAS for that, as a trend.
Teams use blended ROAS and MER loosely. A common split: blended ROAS divides by ad spend only, MER by all marketing costs. Compare it with your break-even ROAS. See ROAS, blended ROAS and MER.
