Also called Facebook Click Identifier.
Meta's click id, added to links people click on Facebook and Instagram.
fbclid is added by Meta to links clicked on Facebook and Instagram, ads and posts alike. Meta's pixel reads it and stores it in the _fbc cookie, so a later purchase can be matched to the click.
When sending server events through the Conversions API, you can send the click as fbc in the form fb.1.<time in milliseconds>.<fbclid>, copying the fbclid exactly, since it is case sensitive (Meta). Safari removes fbclid from links opened from Mail, Messages and Private Browsing.
