Bounce rate
The share of visits or sessions that ended without engagement; each tool defines it differently.
In GA4, bounce rate is the percentage of sessions that were not engaged, which is 100 percent minus the engagement rate. A session is engaged if it lasted over 10 seconds, had a key event, or had 2 or more page views (Google).
Universal Analytics counted any single-page session as a bounce, however long it lasted. Sporetag counts a visit with one pageview and under 10 seconds on the page. Because definitions differ, compare bounce rates only within one tool. See bounce rate in GA4.
