QR codes

Every short link has a QR code. Scanning it opens the short link, so each scan counts like a click.

Download it

Open the link and choose QR code. Download it as an SVG. SVG stays sharp at any size, from a sticker to a poster, and print shops accept it.

Tell scans from clicks

Make a variant of the link with the QR code preset, and print that one. Its visits carry utm_medium=qr, so the dashboard shows scans apart from taps on the same link elsewhere. See UTM presets.

Print it well

• Leave a clear margin around the code, at least the width of four of its small squares.
• Print dark on light. Light codes on dark paper scan badly on some phones.
• Test a print with two or three phones before a big run.

If the destination changes

The QR code holds the short address, not the destination. Edit the link's destination and every printed code goes to the new place. Nothing needs to be reprinted.

Keep the link active as long as the print is out in the world. An archived link stops redirecting.
